Lindsay Daugherty

pnet-bio-daugherty-lindsayA full policy researcher at the RAND Corporation, Daugherty specializes in education and policy research. Her recent areas of focus include postsecondary access, developmental education, principal effectiveness, educational technology, and unemployment programs. Daugherty is currently working on several projects looking at the relationship between workforce skill needs and college degree programs.

She is also evaluating the effectiveness of college-going interventions, including a college scholarship program and programs to improve developmental education. Other projects include a study that examines the role of technology in early childhood education, an evaluation of a principal coaching program, and a study of the impact of military education benefits.

Daugherty — who works out of RAND’s Santa Monica office — has a B.A. in economics from the University of California, an M.A. in applied economics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
