Dr. Robert Bifulco

pnet-bio-bifulcoIn addition to serving as an Associate Professor of Public Administration at Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Dr. Bifulco works across a wide range of affiliates, including the National Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research, the Center for Education Policy Analysis at the University of Connecticut and Syracuse’s Center for Policy Research and the Education Finance and Accountability Program.

With interests in the evaluation of educational policies and programs generally with specific interests in the interactions of school segregation, school policies and student outcomes, Dr. Bifulco has published articles evaluating whole-school reform, school accountability programs, charter schools, magnet schools and other forms of school choice. He has also conducted research on the measurement of school performance, educational resource disparities and peer effects. His research articles have appeared in the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Evaluation Review, Education Finance and Policy, and Economics of Education Review among other places.

Dr. Bifulco’s research has been supported by the Smith Richardson Foundation, the Connecticut State Department of Education and by the New York State Education Department. He received his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Syracuse University after earning his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his master’s from Rice University.
